When running a small business, often so much of our time is spent there on location. It’s great to hire those with the right skills, and it’s great to hire those who understand customer service. Think of it this way for a moment though. You probably spend about a third of your weekdays there. That could be 8 hours per day. Simply put, hire those people you want to be around. Would you rent a room in your house to someone that you didn’t want to see everyday, just because you knew they’d be good for the rent? It’s important to think of these things, because being around good people with personalities that you can jive with adds a lot of value to your day. It can also add momentum to your business when you enjoy and look forward to going there in the morning.
