Decisions before goals

I just completed 200 Peloton rides in exactly 2 years. I used to set workout goals, but goals were just things I would “try” to attain. When I changed my mindset and replaced the word “goal” with the word “decision”, things truly changed for me. It switched to something I was going to do rather than something I was going to “try” to do. Two years ago when I bought the bike, my decision was 100 bike rides per year. The decision was firm. It was not wishy-washy. It was something that was going to happen, and it did.

Applying a true decision to stay consistent can work wonders beyond exercise. It can easily translate to your work as well! Decide to stay consistent with something important and reap the benefits over time.
